About the Cause

Grief Encounter supports children, young people, and families across England and Wales as they cope with the loss of a loved one. Their mission is clear: no child should face grief alone.

Why Bereavement Support for Children Is So Critical

Without timely support after losing someone close, children and young people are more likely to face challenges now and in the future. This can impact their emotional wellbeing, mental health, and their ability to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

Early support makes a real difference. With the right help, children can process grief, build resilience, and move forward.

The Impact of Grief Encounter

Grief Encounter delivers specialist support to families when it matters most. In 2023/2024, they achieved:

963 children, young people, and families supported

2,198 face-to-face therapy sessions delivered

645 Grief Relief Kits distributed to those in need

These numbers reflect real families who have been supported through difficult times and show why this work matters.

Why It Matters to Us

This cause is close to us. Our Founder and Chair, Nick, lost his mother at thirteen, at a time when support for grieving young people was limited. His experience drives our commitment to Grief Encounter’s mission and to making sure no child faces bereavement alone.

Sponsoring a hole: Showcase your brand on the course at Manor House Golf Club with branded signage and great visibility throughout the day.

Donating an item for the charity auction: Provide a prize, experience, or voucher to support our auction and help us raise vital funds. All donors will be recognised during the event. To donate an auction item, please contact us at marketing@exactatech.com with details of your donation. 

It’s a simple way to support bereaved children and raise your business profile. All sponsors will be recognised in the event program, on-site signage, and across our social media channels before and after the event. We’ll also thank sponsors during event announcements, so your support gets the recognition it deserves.
