Our Story
The Exacta Group was founded in Bristol over two decades ago with a simple focus; building bespoke, high-performance hardware for clients who couldn’t afford to compromise. As demand grew and our expertise deepened, the business evolved. In recent years, that growth led to a clear and deliberate decision: Exacta Technologies and Blackcore® Technologies began operating independently, allowing each brand to focus fully on what it does best.

This split gave both companies sharper focus, clearer direction, and the freedom to innovate faster, while remaining closely connected as part of the same group. 2025 marked a defining chapter. We expanded our team significantly, opened a new 17,000 sq. ft purpose-built Blackcore® headquarters in Emersons Green, and continued to invest heavily in people, facilities, and long-term capability. From Bristol to the US and beyond, our hardware is now trusted by some of the biggest names in technology.

The Exacta Group started in a small Bristol storage unit, founded by Nick Rogers with a simple goal: build high-performance, custom hardware for clients who wouldn’t settle for less.

The team outgrew the original space and moved to The Sawmill in Ubley. Here, Exacta expanded its capabilities, took on larger projects, and built the foundations of a team culture focused on innovation, quality, and hands-on problem solving.

2015: Blackcore® Technologies Founded
A single client request for an overclocked, high-performance server sparked a bold new direction: Blackcore® Technologies. Designed specifically for the electronic trading industry, Blackcore® rapidly became known for ultra-low-latency servers that push the limits of performance.

2020: Expanding Horizons
Exacta opened a 20,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art HQ in Emersons Green, Bristol, giving the team room to grow and innovate. Meanwhile, Blackcore® began serving more US clients, extending the brand’s reach across the Atlantic.

Blackcore Labs launched to partner with leading technology providers and optimise server solutions for electronic trading. In parallel, Exacta made a social impact by partnering with Community of Purpose CIC, supporting local youth initiatives and addressing issues like holiday hunger.
